A difference in exterior and interior sounds

Editing swimming sounds for interior pool and water scenes can be challenging. Having no water sounds recorded with that special kind of reverb from inside a real swimming pool can make it even harder! In many situations this could end up being a job for the Foley artist, which is a perfectly useful option of course, but having real sounds recorded inside the right kind of place, adds something hard to achieve with either Foley and exterior recorded material.

The Pool(s) Recordings

Recorded inside 3 different sized pools, from a  large competition size arena, to  two private recreational sized ones, this sound library features 54 tracks, with a variety of sounds, including:

Diving head first bombs

Regular swimming sounds

Gentle arm movements

Kicking leg splashes

Small wave sound generated with a floating board

Water impacts

Pouring water sounds

Walking in shallow water sounds

Dripping

Bubbles

Room tones

And a whole section of water and filtering pumps going on and off, as well as rubber rubbing and moaning sounds, and sounds of a person walking and jumping on a huge flexible pool floor.

Library also features the sounds of a regular microphone being submerged in and out of the pool water!
